Kaplan Curriculum

The Preschool and Prekindergarten curriculum is based off of the PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood Pre-Kindergarten Edition.  We follow the Kaplan Curriculum planning to create a 30-minute circle time, a 30- minute focused center time, and a 30-minute story/expressional craft time for children ages from 3–5-year-old.  Additionally Prekindergarten has 30 minutes of sensory exploration centers.  Our program does a lot one hour of quiet/rest time for preschool aged children and 30-minutes of quiet/rest time for prekindergarten aged children. This time is very important to allow the children time to rest and reset their body and mind. See attached daily schedule for a detailed outline.

Our main goals of the Preschool/Pre-K program are to create an active, engaging, and learning environment to express each child’s true self. The program is able to provide a therapeutic setting for the greatest social development for all backgrounds of children. Our staff is focused on being able to individualize each family’s experience while safely being cared for daily. We are honored in aiding to help care for kind and compassionate children in this program!

Kaplan offers the country's leading scientifically-based, comprehensive curricula to help you plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program that promotes children's social-emotional development and learning in the core areas of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Weekly payment is due on Thursdays of each week, considered late on Monday. A $50 late fee will be charged, unless special payment arrangements have been made with the owner. Tuition may be paid in the form of a check and made out directly to the facility, place your check in a sealed envelope with your child’s first and last name and the date on the envelope. Also, the Brightwheel application used to check your child in and out and monitor your child through the day, also offers credit card and automatic checking account transfers to be set up through the application for no hassle payments and easy monitoring of payments and tax deductions at the end of the year.

Tuition is still expected for the days that your child will be absent, holiday closures, and emergency closures.  If your child is away for vacation, during family emergencies, hospitalizations, and over holidays regular tuition will be expected. Because our costs remain the same throughout the year, we rely on specific tuition to be paid each week in order to meet our expenses.
